List of Medical Services included in Labor & Delivery Contract – Individual Labor and Delivery Management from the Onset of Labor.
With OBGYNs from groups 1-3
- Patient examination in the admissions unit by OBGYN on-call upon arrival to PMC for labor.
- Hospitalization of Patient with signs of early labor for in-patient observation in pre-delivery room (on a one-time basis; for no longer than 12 hours).
- Management of vaginal or surgical (via Cesarean section) singleton or multiple births performed by a medical team consisting of:
- OBGYN;
- Anesthesiologist;
- Neonatologist (Pediatrician);
- Midwife; Nurse-anesthetist, OR nurse.
- In case of medical necessity in-patient medical care (treatment) up to 3 hours after delivery performed in a private birthing room.
- In case of medical necessity, in-patient medical care (treatment) in the Intensive-Care Unit of the Anesthesiology and Reanimation department, up to 12 hours.
- In case of medical necessity, lab and functional testing during in-patient care.
- Administration of pain medication during labor and delivery on medical grounds and with Patient’s consent.
- In case of medical necessity, infant resuscitation in the birthing room.
- Out-patient examination by an OBGYN and conduction of pelvic organs Ultrasound within 56 days after delivery.
With OBGYNs from group 4
- In-home conduction of fetal monitoring and test result evaluation by a PMC M.D. during pregnancy. Patient is required to sign an Addendum to the Contract.
- Patient examination in the admissions unit by OBGYN on-call upon arrival to PMC for labor.
- Hospitalization of Patient with signs of early labor for in-patient observation in pre-delivery room (on a once-only basis; for no longer than 12 hours).
- Management of vaginal or surgical (via Cesarean section) singleton or multiple births performed by a medical team consisting of:
- OBGYN;
- Anesthesiologist;
- Neonatologist (Pediatrician);
- Midwife; Nurse-anesthetist, OR nurse.
- Blood transfusion to Patient, in case of medical necessity.
- In case of medical necessity, in-patient medical care (treatment) up to 3 hours after delivery performed in a private birthing room.
- In case of medical necessity, in-patient medical care in the Intensive-Care Unit of the Anesthesiology and Reanimation department, up to 12 hours.
- In case of medical necessity, lab and functional testing during in-patient care.
